Discipline and Correction. Those are two words no one likes, authority has abandoned in fear, and very few are willing to receive. No one enjoys being corrected because it generally means we have made a mistake, gone off track, or done something wrong. We avoid correction at all cost. As a matter of fact we are still running from it the same way Adam and Eve did! When we understand its true purpose we will run toward and not away from it. We will delight in it rather than despising it. When correction is done in love and received in humble submission, God promises that it will promote us not destroy us. Correction is a necessary part of our walk with God. None of us are above it and you will never outgrow the need for it. If we are going to go DEEPER in the things of God we must learn to embrace His correction. It’s a sign of His love and a stamp of true sonship!

Have you ever thought about how powerful and beneficial connections are? There are few things more important in life than the connections we make. For example, just think of all the connections that had to be made to create your life. Conception began as the result of a connection. It was the connection of an egg and a seed. That embryo had to connect itself to the wall of the uterus. As the embryo grows, another connection was created between the mother and the baby through the umbilical cord. This connection sustains the baby’s life and provides nutrients for growth and development. Once the baby is born its life is still dependant on a connection to the mother for food and care. These realities point us to the deeper truth that life flows through connections. There is no connection in your life more vital, valuable, or critical to walking in victory than your relationship with JESUS!
